The Nexus 6’s actual name, price and launch details may have just been reveale

Nexus 6 Nexus X Price and Release Date
Motorola is widely expected to build the next Nexus smartphone, and various reports have provided details about its actual name, price and launch schedule. TKTechNews and Phone Arena have now seemingly received information revealing the Nexus 6 will actually be called the Nexus X. The phone should start selling this fall, before October, and could cost up to $499.99 in the U.S. and €419.99 in Europe.
TKTechNews has posted images showing two store listings that mentioned the Nexus X product name for the Motorola Nexus smartphone – which apparently is known internally as the XT1100. Fnac Portugal and Best Buy already have alleged Nexus X pages for the product that list the price of the device and specs.
Fnac has apparently revealed the device’s price in Europe, although the retailer removed the page – believed by some to be a fake. Shortly after, Best Buy had apparently posted images obtained by TKTechNews that reveal the phone will be available from Sprint. Strangely, the price of the device is listed at $499.99 with a two-year contract with Sprint.
However, the two leaked images do not agree on certain specs, with Fnac listing what looks like a 6.3-inch display for the handset, while Best Buy mentions a 5.9-inch 2K display that’s more in line with what previous leaks claimed.
Best Buy also reveals the phone will run Android LMP (Lemon Meringue Pie) and will pack some new Motorola software including Moto Skip and Moto Aware.
Meanwhile, Phone Arena says it learned that Nexus X is currently the internal name for the Nexus 6, although Nexus X is also “most likely” to become to official name of the XT1100.
The publication says Google is avoiding the Nexus 6 name in order not to risk any legal troubles – the Nexus-6 is the name of androids in Philip K. Dick’s Do Androids dream of Electric Sheep? story which may be better known as Blade Runner to movie fans.
Phone Arena also says that Google will launch the Nexus X on or around Halloween, without an actual announcement, just like last year.

Spigen iPhone 6 cases
Spigen's iPhone 6 cases have made an early appearance
With the iPhone 6 widely expected to be formally unveiled in the coming weeks, the first iPhone 6 cases have been made available for purchase.

With the currently unconfirmed phone one of the most eagerly awaited devices of the year, the newly surfaced iPhone 6 cases have offered a potential glimpse at the phone’s dimensions and revised form factor.

Accessories manufacturer Spigen is responsible for the premature unveiling, with its collection of iPhone 6 cases listed – most likely – in nothing more than a case of attention grabbing rumour baiting.

However, with a mass of iPhone 6 prototype devices having already leaked, it is not out of the question that the case manufacturer managed to get its hands on one to knock up prototype cases.

The protective covers being offered provide something for all manner of user tastes. From a sleek, ultra slim metal case to a classic bumper via a heavy duty protective shell, Spigen has teased the lot.

Backing up handset leaks, the case renders have pointed to a longer, slimmer handset than the iPhone 5S, with more rounded corners and edges also hinted at.

Teasing a potential window for the iPhone 6 release date, the cases have been listed alongside an estimated delivery time between October 3 and October 7.

The iPhone 6 is heavily rumoured to be heading for a September 9 unveiling, with a new form factor expected to be partnered with an improved A8 processor and the new iOS 8 operating system.

More Sony Xperia Z3 photos show up, non-removable battery confirmed
In case you haven’t seen enough leaked photos showing the unannounced Xperia Z3, we now have a new set of images that reveal, once more, Sony’s upcoming handset. This time, some of the photos show the Z3 disassembled - this confirming that the smartphone has a non-removable battery (apparently a 3100 mAh unit).

It seems that the Xperia Z3 that’s being pictured here is a dual SIM variant that’s most likely made for China.

While the Z3 appears to be significantly thinner than the Xperia Z2 (allegedly measuring only 7mm), its specs aren’t too different from those of the current flagship. Reportedly, the new Xperia features a 5.2-inch 1080p display, quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5GHz, 3 GB of RAM, and a 20.7 MP rear camera. Needless to say, the Z3 will be water-resistant, just like the Z2 and Z1.

xiaomi-mi-3-out-of-stock
The frenzy around the Xiaomi Mi 3 is far from over. For the sixth consecutive time, the device is sold out, and it took Flipkart mere 2.4 seconds to beam ‘out of stock’ onto your computer screens.
Xiaomi’s vice president of international operations, Hugo Barra confirmed that the sixth flash sale was over in 2.4 seconds.
The latest sale makes a sum total of 95,000 Mi 3 units now officially sold in the Indian market. The first sale lasted for less than 40 minutes. The second, third, fourth and fifth sale lasted for five, two, 2.4 and 2.3 seconds respectively.
Xiaomi’s flash sales that are a huge success in its native country, is turning out to be a frustrating experience for buyers in India. The company has received a lot of flak from consumers for this model, and each sale has left a majority of potential buyers frustrated. But Xiaomi still maintains that it is best business model.
After what seemed like a long wait, Xiaomi has begun selling official accessories for the Mi 3. The first two accessories – a flip cover and screen protector – are now available for pre-order on Flipkart. The Mi flip cover is priced at Rs 559 and is available in white, black and blue colors. The screen protector for the Mi 3, meanwhile, is priced at Rs 179 and attracts a delivery charge of Rs 40 if bought alone. Both the accessories are expected to be available sometime this week.

Galaxy Note 4 is confirmed to be officially announced in Germany during next week's IFA event in Berlin, while fresh rumours of the handset featuring Synaptics' Natural ID fingerprint technology are making waves on the internet.
The Note 4 is expected to include additional functionality for the fingerprint sensor through future software updates along the lines of Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Alpha.
According to SamMobile, the new technology touted as 'LiveFlex' is meant for separating the fingerprint sensing element from the fingerprint controller integrated circuit. For instance, one part of the Note 4 sensor will be included in the home button, while the other will be integrated into the lower area of the display.
A couple of new features reportedly ported to the enhanced biometric sensor on the Note 4 are as follows:
  • Primarily, users can control which application should be launched when they swipe a finger. For instance, the e-mail app can be programmed to launch with just a swipe of the right thumb, which not only unlocks the phone, but also opens the e-mail for you in one quick step.
  • Another key feature incorporated into the new fingerprint sensor on the Note 4 includes the ability to save passwords and log into websites wherein registered fingerprints replace the traditional username and password login method after the user Sign in with fingerprints.
Note: The users should however enter the username and password for the first time login.
Apart from the aforementioned features, the new Fingerprint sensor on Note 4 imports a bunch of hot features from the Galaxy S5 such as Screen Lock, Samsung Account Verification, PayPal Payments, and Private Mode with fingerprint authentication.
The Galaxy Note 4 is rumoured to ship with a plethora of high-end specifications including a 5.7in display (1440 x 2560 pixels), Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM and a 16MP rear camera with optical image stabilisation.
In related news, the Note 4 is expected to arrive in a fully metallic variant similar to the Galaxy Alpha and include a revolutionary S-Pen stylus feature that could change the way you interact in the digital world.

Nexus X benchmarks confirm internals and that Android L is version 5.0

Nexus X benchmarks confirm internals and that Android L is version 5.0

Nexus X benchmarks confirm internals and that Android L is version 5.0
The news keeps coming quickly these days. We now know that the so-called Nexus 6 will most likely be called the Nexus X. We know that it is based on the Moto S (Shamu), meaning it has a 5.9-inch 1440x2560 (2K) display. And, we are getting evidence that Android L will be nicknamed Lemon Meringue Pie. Now, we're getting more info via benchmarks.

The leak comes once again from TKTechNews who has gotten screenshots of the Nexus X Antutu results. The results confirm some items that we have known, like the Snapdragon 805 (APQ8084) processor clocked at 2.7GHz, the 3GB of RAM, the display resolution, and the 13-megapixel rear camera. The odd thing about the benchmarks is actually the score of 35,430, which is decidedly low for a Snapdragon 805. For comparison, the Snapdragon 801-powered LG G3 has a score of 39,132.

The other interesting note is that the benchmarks label Android L to be version 5.0. This isn't exactly a surprise, because Google usually saves full number updates for times when Android gets a visual overhaul, and that is exactly what is coming with Material Design. But, it's nice to see some confirmation.

Leaks-based Moto G2 teaser and new photos sum up the major upgrades of Motorola's next budget phone

Word on the street is that Motorola's September 4th event will see the announcement of several important devices that the now Lenovo-owned company will use to reinforce its positions. Among those are the high-end Moto X+1, the Moto 360 smartwatch, and, of course, Motorola's next budget solution -- the Moto G2.

Now, it's fair to say that the Moto G2 has received decent amounts of attention from leakers and the media on the whole. This almost surely has to do with its predecessor's success, which wasn't surprising considering it is still likely one of the very best buys in its price tier. In any case, a bunch of new snaps of the Moto G2, courtesy of Hellomotohk, are now available, and the folks behind the dedicated Facebook page have even worked up a small teaser that sums up the major upgrades over the soon-to-be-replaced Moto G.

As you can see for yourself, those include narrower bezels for a better screen-to-size ratio, a 5-inch, 720p screen; a higher resolution, 8-megapixel camera; a set of front-facing stereo speakers; and even a slot for a microSD card (that was unfortunately non-present with the Moto G). Lastly, the Moto G2 will come with a removable back plate, so you'll be able to customize its looks with Motorola Shells, too.

The rest of the rumored specs include a quad-core Snapdragon 400 SoC, 1GB of RAM, and 8/16GB of internal storage.

The smartphone packs a 1700mAh battery, which is rated to deliver up to 7 hours of talk-time and 160 hours of standby time.
