Android L could be called “Lemon Meringue Pie”: Report
The evidence includes Wi-Fi certification of the HTC Volantis tablet aka Nexus 8, and multiple references to “LMP” on Android Open Source Project as well as the latest Android SDK. The latter mentions the current previews available for Android L for the Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 as ‘lmp-preview-release’.
While LMP may not be concrete proof, last year’s Android K OS was internally known as KLP — Key Lime Pie. At the last moment, Google struck a deal with Nestle and named the “K” as KitKat. This time around things are again moving in a similar direction, so while Lemon Meringue Pie maybe the obvious choice, don’t be surprised if Google again partners a brand and names the operating system version after their product.
