This year, five major auction houses wooed the bidders over the course of four days. Since the 1950s, Pebble Beach has represented the ultimate collector car lover’s destination.

5. 1967 Ferrari 275GTB/4 Coupe

Sold For: $ 10,175,000

First owned by American actor “The King of Cool” Steve McQueen, the car was delivered to him on the set of 1968 American action film, ‘Bullitt.’

4. 1964 Ferrari 250LM Coupe

Sold For: $11,550,000

This rear-engined V-12 car was one of the 32 of this particular model ever made. It crashed and burned in 1966 but was fully restored several years after.

3. 1961 Ferrari 250GT California SWB Spider

Sold For: $15,180,000

The California Spider, that can drive on streets and race on tracks too was exclusively made for a loyal Ferrari customer from U.S.A.

2. 1964 Ferrari 275GTB/C Speciale Coupe

Sold For: $ 26,400,000

Only three of these aluminum cars were ever made. The other two are the part of private collections and there is no way their owner are giving them up.

1. 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO Coupe

Sold For: $38,115,000

This one set a world record – it is now the most expensive car to be auctioned. It was ruined in a crash shortly after it was first built; they practically re-build a new car again.
