Google Nexus 6 vs. Apple iPhone 6: Which handset will reign?

The Google Nexus 6 and iPhone 6 are set to hit the market this fall.
Recent reports claim that the iPhone 6 release date is Sept. 9, earlier than previous rumors that claimed the handset would launch Sept. 19,  based on previous iPhone releases. Rumored features of the iPhone 6 are a 64-bit A8 processor, iOS 8, as well as an improved fingerprint sensor and camera.
The Nexus 6, on the other hand, is set for release in October. The handset is rumored to include Google Nexus 8 and Android L. The handset will pack fair specs and features such as a faster processor, a better camera and longer battery life.
Both companies have neither confirmed nor denied the rumors regarding their upcoming smartphones.

Screen Display
The Google Nexus 6 is rumored to include a 5.5-inch screen display with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution. The iPhone 6, on the other hand, is rumored to come with two screen displays – one with a 4.7-inch screen display and the phablet version with a 5.5-inch screen panel.
Processor
While the Nexus 6 is rumored to come with the latest quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 SoC clocked at 2.7GHz, the iPhone 6 is speculated to include the new A8 processor with 64-bit architecture.
Internal Storage
Google's flagship smartphone will be available in 16GB and 32GB storage variants, while the iPhone 6 will be available in its usual storage variants – 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB. The handset is rumored to be available in the 128GB model as well.
Operating System
The Nexus 6 will run with the upcoming Android 5.0 L operating system. The iPhone 6 will run with iOS 8 -- which is set for release this fall.
Camera
Both smartphones will sport an 8MP rear camera.
Battery
Both smartphones are speculated to come with longer battery life.
